Thanks for stopping by my blog. My name is JEN! If we were in the same room, I would probably be talking WAY TOO LOUD, using questionable language {working on that one} and flailing my hands with LOTS and LOTS of hand gestures {and in the process, knocking things over with my enthusiasm for life!} I am certain I should have had some sort of medication or behavioral therapy as a child...! I over-share {not about anyone but myself} but am SO PASSIONATE about keeping it real.
In my former online life, I ran a fabric store called Fabric Bliss {your happy fabric place}. It was a very tumultuous and long 18 months in business. It ended up being too much time and energy focused on that and I found I was INDEED neglecting those that were the MOST important to me. {and also to the end, the MOST supportive}. I planned to continue to blog as well as follow the blogs I loved, but then {in September 2009} life handed me this big ol' bag of crapass stinky lemons. My youngest, Miss K, was diagnosed with a rare, life threatening disease WITH. NO. CURE. Sure, there are treatments but THEY SUCK. I guess it's better than 40 years ago, when JDM was a death sentence. But for real? My life truly fell apart. I didn't even know who I was.
18 months later and I am totally picking up the pieces. I really have come full circle, embraced what we are going through with Kennedy as one of my hugest, most invaluable life lessons, realized I am stronger {and smarter} than I ever knew that I could be and have learned to accept my challenges right along with my blessings. I am so BLESSED to be where I am RIGHT NOW. And I finally know I am not in control of any of it, so I take it one day at a time, pray for the best but realize there are things I cannot fix, heal or make go away. I may just be my own personal Zen master :)
